The Advanced Cubieboard6 Singleboard PC Is Based on the 4-year Old Model, Though, It Has Refined Components

A new model, namely Cubieboard6, has joined the Cub ieboard singleboard PC family, which emerged 5 years ago. The novelty is of the same size (100 х 60 х 18 mm) as the previous model, the component layout is unchanged; however, parts themselves are updated.


Cubieboard6 is based on the SoC Actions S500, as well as the 28 nm technology. It offers four Cortex-A9 cores and the PowerVR SGX544 GPU. The 2 GB LPDDR3 RAM is supplemented with the 8 GB eMMC module. Cubieboard6 has a microSD slot and a 6 Gbps SATA port. The wireless Ampak AP6212 module supports Wi-Fi 802.11n and Bluetooth 4.0; there is also an HDMI 1.4b video output, two USB 2.0 ports and a Fast Ethernet networking port.


2 x 48pins headers make I2C, MIPI CSI, ADC, CVBS, RGB, LVDS, MIPI DSI, SPI, HSIC, GPIO and other buses available. The device is powered via USB 2.0 or 2-pins header for 3.7 V Li-Po battery.
